There are several reasons for your dishwasher not to start. Please see if one of the following will solve the problem.
Check for power failure
If the display doesn’t light up even though your dishwasher is plugged in, the power may be out. Check the lights and other electrical appliances in your home to see whether the power is out or not. If they’re in working order, the fuse that your appliance is connected to may be faulty. In this case, seek the help of a qualified electrician for repairs.
Check for water outage
Check the water is running through the taps in your home. Make sure the water supply tap is on.
Check that the door is closed properly
If your dishwasher detects that its door is open, it won’t start. Make sure the appliance door is firmly closed and that you hear a locking sound. If not, check the door to see if it’s broken or cracked. If the latch isn’t in working order, contact an authorized service agent.
Consider technical failure
If the problem continues, your dishwasher might have a technical problem. If you suspect this to be the case, contact an authorized service agent.
