How to Install Your Beko Washing Machine
Installing your Beko washing machine correctly is key to ensuring optimal performance and
longevity. Follow this step-by-step guide to set up your machine safely and efficiently.
Step 1: Remove the Styrofoam Reinforcement
Begin by removing the protective styrofoam reinforcement. You will find a ribbon under
the washing machine—pull this ribbon to slide the styrofoam out from underneath.
Ensure that all protective packaging is fully removed.
Step 2: Remove the Safety Bolts and Insert Plastic Lids
Your washing machine comes with transportation bolts that need to be removed before
use. These bolts secure the drum during transport. Unscrew the bolts and remove them,
then insert the plastic lids provided in the user manual to cover the holes where the bolts
were. This will help keep dust and dirt from entering the machine.
Step 3: Place the Machine and Level the Feet
Position your Beko washing machine in its final location. Adjust the feet until the machine
is level and balanced. This prevents vibration during operation. Once you’ve adjusted the
feet, tighten the lock nuts by hand to secure the position.
Step 4: Check Water Flow
Before connecting the water hose, ensure that the water tap is flowing and that the water
pressure is adequate. If the water flow is thinner than a forefinger, the washing machine
may not work properly. In such cases, it is advisable to call a plumber to inspect and fix
the water line.
Step 5: Connect the Water Inlet Hose
Attach the water hose to both the water tap and the water inlet at the back of the washing
machine. Ensure the connections are tight to prevent leaks. Also, double-check that
the water inlet hose is not tangled or twisted.
Step 6: Set the Drain Hose
The drain hose should not be inserted more than 15 cm into the waste pipe to avoid
leaks. Connect the drain hose so it is at a height of 40 cm to 100 cm from the ground. If
the drain hose is too short, you can extend it up to 3.2 meters using an extension
hose. Fix the hose to the plastic holder on the back of the machine to prevent clinking
noises during operation.
Step 7: Connect to Power Safely
Plug the washing machine directly into a main power socket, and avoid using an extension
socket, as this could cause power issues. Test the main socket before plugging in to
ensure it’s working properly.
By following these steps, you’ll have your Beko washing machine installed and ready to
use. Make sure to double-check all connections to avoid leaks and other issues.
