  • 200 g dark brown sugar
  • 150 ml brandy
  • For the custard:
  • 500 ml whole milk
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 50 g sugar
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

  • Grease a microwave-safe bowl with butter and spoon the pudding mixture into the bowl, smoothing the top.

  • Cover the bowl loosely with a microwave-safe lid or microwave-safe plastic wrap, leaving a small vent for steam to escape.

  • Microwave on high for 8-10 minutes, or until the pudding is firm and springs back when touched.
