How to solve problems when my Beko washing machine is not working?

If your Beko washing machine is not working, follow these troubleshooting steps to identify

and resolve common issues:

1. Water Supply Issues

Check the Tap: Ensure that the water tap connected to your washing machine is

fully open and that water is flowing with sufficient pressure. The water flow should

be stronger than the thickness of your forefinger. If the flow is weak, the washing

machine may not work properly, and you may need a plumber to check the water

line.

2. Check for Lapped or Twisted Water Inlet Hose

Inspect the Water Hose: Ensure the water inlet hose is not tangled, twisted, or

kinked, as this can prevent water from entering the washing machine. Straighten the

hose if it’s twisted or lapped.

3. Verify Electric Power Connection

Check the Power Source: Ensure the washing machine is plugged into a working

main power socket
and not into an extension socket. Test the power socket by

plugging in another device to confirm it's working. Then, plug your Beko washing

machine directly into the socket.

4. Loading Clothes and Door Check

Avoid Overloading: If the machine is overloaded, the door may not close properly,

preventing the washing cycle from starting. Remove a few items if necessary to ease

the load.

Check the Door and Gasket: Ensure no clothes are stuck between the door and

the rubber gasket. Check that the door is properly closed before starting the cycle.

5. Child Lock and Delay Settings

Child Lock Activation: If the child lock is activated, the washing program will not

start, and the buttons will be disabled. Deactivate the child lock by pressing and

holding the relevant button(s) for 3 seconds. The lock symbol or line on the panel

will show whether the child lock is engaged.

Time Delay Activation: If the time delay is activated, the machine will not start the

cycle immediately. Cancel the delay setting and restart the washing program.

6. Water Inlet Filter Cleaning

Check the Water Inlet Filter: The water inlet filter can become blocked over time,

preventing water from entering the machine. Disconnect the water hose from the

back of the machine and clean the water inlet filter thoroughly to ensure there is

no blockage.

7. Pump Filter Cleaning

Check the Pump Filter: The pump filter can become clogged with dirt or small

objects, leading to drainage and performance issues. Every 3 months, clean

the pump filter. Use a bowl or towel to catch any water, turn the filter

anticlockwise, and pull it out. Remove any debris such as coins, hair pins, or dirt

from the filter and its housing, then reinstall it.

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve most issues with your

Beko washing machine. If the problem persists after troubleshooting, contact Beko

customer service or a technician for further assistance.
