How to Install a Beko Tumble Dryer: A Step-by-Step Guide
Installing your Beko tumble dryer correctly ensures its smooth operation and helps prolong
its life. Follow this step-by-step guide for a hassle-free installation.
Step 1: Wait for 12 Hours (Heat Pump Dryers Only)
If you have a heat pump dryer, it's important to wait 12 hours before starting it. This allows
the machine’s refrigerant to settle, ensuring efficient operation.
Step 2: Remove the Packaging and Transportation Safety Assembly
● Open the loading door of the dryer.
● Carefully pull the packaging towards yourself.
● Remove the transportation safety assembly (any packaging or bolts meant for
transportation).
● Ensure the machine is placed on the ground and stands level and balanced.
Step 3: Direct Drainage Connection (Optional)
If you prefer to drain condensed water directly instead of using the water tank, follow these
steps:
● Take out the water tank hose located near the pump on the bottom right side at the
back of the dryer.
● Connect the supplied drainage hose to the pump.
● Attach the other end of the hose to a wastepipe.
● Ensure the drain hose is placed no higher than 80 cm from the ground.
● Make sure the drainage hose is not tangled or kinked to ensure smooth water
flow.
Step 4: Electrical Connection & Power Check
● Do not use an extension cable to plug in your dryer. This ensures safety and
optimal performance.
● Before installation, check your power source to make sure it’s working. A simple
way to do this is by plugging a lamp into the socket—if the lamp lights up, the
socket is working.
Step 5: Scent Capsule Placement (For Models with FreshCaps Scent Technology)
If your Beko tumble dryer is equipped with FreshCaps scent technology, you can add a
fragrance to your laundry during the drying cycle. Here’s how to place the scent capsule:
● Take the scent capsule out of the box.
● Press the button located below to open the outer cover of the scent capsule
housing.
● Turn the 3 latches to open the inner cover.
● Place the scent capsule into its slot, ensuring the holes on the capsule are visible
from the outside for correct positioning.
● Replace the inner cover and turn the 3 latches to lock it in place.
● Finally, close the outer cover.
By following these steps, you’ll ensure that your Beko tumble dryer is installed properly
and ready for use. Regular maintenance, such as leveling the machine and ensuring proper
drainage, will help keep it running efficiently for years to come.
