The best way to keep food frozen during a power cut is to leave it in the freezer with the door closed.
Beko freezers are designed to keep food frozen for 10 to 18 hours in the event of a power loss. This is much longer than what you might achieve with other methods, such as using cool bags. Keep the door openings to a minimum during this time.
To find the exact time your freezer will keep food frozen, consult your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
If the power outage lasts longer than the specified time, remember that you should not refreeze thawed food.
Every Beko freezer has a unique serial number. It is located inside your appliance, on the left-hand side wall.
The recommended temperature for freezers is around -18°C.
You can use your Beko freezer in ambient temperatures as low as -15°C. To see the exact lowest ambient temperature your Beko freezer will work in, check your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
