Washing machines come in various loading capacities. Plus, load capacity changes depending on the selected programme. You should avoid loading your appliance beyond its capacity, as overloading may cause it not to operate properly.
To learn more about your washing machine's load capacity, consult your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
Beko washing machines are designed to detect unbalanced loads and lower the spin speed accordingly. To avoid unbalanced loads, wash bulky items like blankets with at least one other heavy item like a big towel or another blanket.
For more laundry tips, read our guides on how to load your washing machine properly, how much load your washing machine can handle, how to choose the appropriate washing programme, and how to wash bras, trainers and woollens.
It’s not a good idea to wash your white and coloured laundry together.
Dark and brighter colours can bleed into other laundry and permanently tint your whites, even if washed in cold water. Sorting your laundry into whites, lights and darks and using appropriate detergent and washing temperatures will help your clothes keep their colour and prolong their lifespan.
For more laundry tips, head over to our guides on how to load your washing machine properly, how much load your washing machine can handle, how to choose the appropriate washing programme and which kind of detergent to use.
Using too much or too little detergent will decrease washing performance. The right amount of detergent is shown on the detergent packaging. You may need to increase the dose depending on the size of the load and the water hardness level in your area. Follow the detergent manufacturer’s instructions.
For more laundry tips, check out our guide on which which kind of detergent to use.
Your washing machine needs to stand level and balanced on its feet to function properly. Try rocking the appliance from side to side or back and forth. If it’s rocking a lot, your flooring or appliance's feet may be uneven.
Use a spirit level to check the appliance's balance. If it's off, adjust the feet by reaching under your washing machine and finding the lock nuts on the feet. Loosen them and turn the feet clockwise or anti-clockwise, until they’re firmly in contact with the floor. Tighten all lock nuts again by hand.
This means that the child lock is activated. You can’t make any changes to programmes, temperature, speed or additional functions while the lock is active.
To deactivate the child lock, press the first and second additional function buttons simultaneously for three seconds while any programme is running. The lights on the buttons will flash while you do so.
You can also switch the programme selection knob to the On/Off position when no programme is running to deactivate the lock.
The procedure to activate/deactivate the child lock may vary depending on your model. If the procedures described above do not work, consult your user manual. If you’re having trouble finding your manual, download it here using your product’s model number.
If you want your drying cycle to end at later time, you can delay the start or set an end time to the selected programme (depending on the model of your appliance). This is especially useful if the electricity or water cost is lower during specific hours of the day.
To set a delayed programme, load your tumble dryer and select the programme along with the additional functions you need. Press the End Duration/End Time (whichever is available on your control panel). You can now set when you want the drying process to finish and start your tumble dryer as usual. You can cancel the delay function by turning the appliance off and on again.
For Beko tumble dryers with Delayed Start buttons on their panels, you can set up a delay to the programme start. Load your tumble dryer and select the programme and additional functions as usual. Set the starting time by pressing the Delayed Start button (or the Delayed Start + or - buttons, if available). You can now start your tumble dryer. If you want to cancel the countdown and start the drying immediately, press the start button and decrease the time left until it reaches 0. Pressing the start button again will begin the programme as usual.
If the panel has the Time Delay button with the numbers 3, 6 and 9, this means that you can set when you want the drying process to begin. A 3-hour delay is selected when the button is pressed once. If you press the same button again, a delay of 6 hours is selected. If pressed once more, the programme will begin in 9 hours. If the Time Delay button is pressed one more time, the delay function will be cancelled. After selecting the delay time, you can push start and the programme will begin after the set delay.
If the above descriptions don't work for your washing machine, consult your user manual. If you're having trouble finding your manual, dowload it here using your product's model number.

No. Beko washing machines do not feature reversible doors. But Beko tumble dryers do, so that laundry rooms with side-by-side machines can benefit from doors that open away from each other.
You can place your washing machine anywhere with access to plumbing. It’s fine to use your washing machine in the garage, as long as temperatures do not fall below freezing.
