A Rich and Nutty Spanish Delight

Experience the rich, nutty flavors of Spain with this Almond Chicken, made effortlessly in a Beko ExpertFry. This dish features tender chicken thighs cooked in a savory almond and hazelnut sauce, creating a deliciously satisfying meal.

Preparation

  • Preheat: Set your Beko ExpertFry to 180°C.
  • Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides. Dredge each chicken thigh in the all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Cook the Chicken: Cook the chicken thighs at 180°C for 10-12 minutes. Set aside.
  • Cook the Vegetables: In the same pot, heat the remaining olive oil. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, along with the diced vegetables. Cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the chopped almonds and hazelnuts and cook for another 2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  • Make the Sauce: Pour in the dry white wine and chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Add the ground cinnamon and nutmeg, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Let the sauce simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until it has reduced slightly and thickened. Add the chicken thighs back to the pot and simmer for 5 more minutes.
  • Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side and cooked rice or crusty bread for soaking up the delicious sauce.
  • Enjoy: Relish the rich, nutty flavors of this Spanish Almond Chicken.
