A Crispy and Flavorful Japanese Favorite

Enjoy the crispy, juicy goodness of Japanese Chicken Katsu, made effortlessly in a Beko ExpertFry. This dish features tender chicken breasts coated in panko breadcrumbs, cooked to golden perfection.

Preparation

  • Preheat: Set your Beko ExpertFry to 200°C.
  • Prepare the Chicken: Place the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap or parchment paper. Use a meat mallet to pound the chicken to an even thickness, about 2 mm thick. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Bread the Chicken: Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with all-purpose flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Then dip it into the beaten egg, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it evenly with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
  • Cook the Chicken: Place the breaded chicken breasts in a single layer in the pot. Lightly spray the tops with olive oil spray. Cook the chicken breasts at 200°C for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken katsu from the Beko ExpertFry and let them rest for a few minutes. Slice the chicken katsu into strips and serve hot with tonkatsu sauce on the side for dipping. Serve the chicken katsu with shredded cabbage and cooked rice on the side.
  • Enjoy: Savor the crispy, juicy goodness of this Japanese Chicken Katsu.
