INGREDIENTS
Meatballs:
- 350g of minced beef
- 1 onion
- 15g of fresh parsley
- 1g of cinnamon powder
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 10g of salt
- 2g of pepper
Tomato sauce:
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 medium carrot
- 2g allspice powder
- 30g of tomato paste
- 400g of tomatoes
- 10g of honey
- 20g of pomegranate molasses
- 1g coriander powder
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a bowl, combine the minced beef, half of the finely chopped onions, cinnamon powder, black pepper, parsley, and salt. Knead the mixture until well combined. Shape into 15g meatballs.
- Preheat the oven to 225 °C. Once hot, drizzle the vegetable oil on an oven tray and add the meatballs. Roast for 6-7 minutes until browned.
- Preheat a saucepan on medium heat, add the onions, and cook for 5 minutes. Add the garlic, coriander powder, and allspice powder. Cook for 1 minute.
- Use the Beko Starlight Blender to puree the tomatoes.
- Add the tomato paste, freshly pureed tomatoes, honey, pomegranate molasses, and carrots into the saucepan.
- Reduce the heat to a low temperature and cook for 12-15 minutes.
- Serve with rice as an option.
