How to minimise noise during washing cycles?

To minimize noise during washing cycles and ensure smooth operation, follow these steps

for your Beko washing machine:

1. Remove Styrofoam Reinforcement

If your washing machine is newly installed, make sure to remove the styrofoam

reinforcement that is placed under the machine for protection during transport. Simply

pull the ribbon attached to the styrofoam to remove it.

2. Remove Transportation Bolts

Before using the washing machine, ensure that you have removed the transportation

bolts at the back. These bolts hold the drum in place during shipping but need to be taken

out for normal use. After removing them, insert the plastic caps (provided with your user

manual) into the holes.

3. Adjust the Feet for Balance

Ensure the washing machine is placed on a level surface. Adjust the feet of the machine

until it stands level and balanced. Once the machine is balanced, tighten the lock nuts on

the feet by hand to secure them in place. A balanced machine significantly reduces

vibrations and noise.

4. Secure the Drain Hose

Fix the drain hose to the plastic holder located at the back of the washing machine. This

prevents the hose from clinking or knocking against the machine during the wash cycle.

5. Avoid Washing a Single Large Item

It’s not recommended to wash only one bulky item (like a large blanket or towel), as it can

absorb too much water and cause excessive movement inside the drum. To avoid

unbalanced loads that create noise, wash items in pairs or multiple pieces.

6. Check Pockets for Small Objects

Before starting a wash, always check the pockets of your clothes for objects like coins or

keys that can cause noise, drainage issues, or even machine damage during the cycle.

7. Don’t Overload the Washing Machine

Avoid overloading the machine, as this can cause the door to not close properly, leading

to water leaks and excessive noise. If the door seems difficult to close or if you notice

leaks, remove some items to ease the load.

8. Regularly Clean the Pump and Filter

To keep the washing machine running efficiently and quietly, clean the pump and

filter every 3 months. A blocked or stuck filter can prevent the machine from draining

properly and completing the spin cycle, leaving clothes wet and potentially causing noise.

By following these steps, you can significantly reduce the noise generated during washing

cycles, ensuring a smoother and quieter laundry experience.
